SPECIAL KINDNESS IN PACKAGES, INC.
HONORING THE HEROES ONE PARK AT A TIME

DATE: Saturday, October 28, 2006

TIME: 10:00 AM

MEETING LOCATION: GAR Park (City Hall Plaza), East Elm Street, Brockton

WHAT: Special Kindness In Packages, Inc., a Brockton based non-profit organization that honors and supports the men and women of the United States Armed Forces by providing personalized care packages filled with letters and other items of necessity and enjoyment, is teaming up with the Mayor’s Office, Veteran’s Services, and the Parks and Recreation department to revitalize two Veteran parks and the All Wars Memorial on Legion Parkway in honor of the men and women who have served and those who are currently serving our country.

Some of the veteran parks in Brockton require a lot of attention and might take up to a year to completely revitalize, however through community support and involvement the initial clean-up could be the start of a wonderful relationship between the city of Brockton, its residence and visitors, and Special Kindness In Packages. Therefore, businesses and residents of Brockton and surrounding communities interested in helping or donating supplies to clean-up the parks and honor the troops are urged to contact Skip Spoerke (skip@specialkindness.org) before October 20.
